- Immediate Action:
- Stop Working: If you feel any pain or discomfort while lifting, stop immediately and inform a Smash Booth Director.
- Assess the Injury: Determine the severity of the injury. If it is minor (e.g., slight muscle strain), apply basic first aid.
- First Aid: Use ice packs, compression, and elevation if applicable. Basic first aid kits are provided with every setup for easy access.
- Reporting an Injury:
- Inform a Director: Report any injury, no matter how minor it seems, to the Events Director, Project Director or Operations Manager as soon as possible.
- Documentation: Fill out an injury report detailing the incident, including what happened, where, and any witnesses. This helps Smash Booth maintain a safe work environment and address any hazards. You can access this form HERE.
- Seeking Medical Attention:
- For Serious Injuries: If you experience severe pain, cannot move a part of your body, or the injury seems serious, seek medical attention immediately.
- Emergency Services: Call 911 for any life-threatening injuries or if urgent medical care is needed.
- Follow-Up Care: Obtain and follow the medical advice given by healthcare professionals. Ensure you have a written clearance before returning to work.
- Post-Injury Procedure:
- Review and Adapt: Post-incident, we will review the circumstances that led to the injury and implement measures to prevent future occurrences.
- Support: Smash Booth will support you where possible during your recovery as necessary to ensure your safe return to work.
