On-Call Pay/Shift

During the setup stage of every Event Shift, Smash Booth has a dedicated staff member in-office serving as tech-support who can access your computer remotely to aid with issues, run out items that may have been forgotten or failed, or in the case of an emergency, cover a shift if a Host is not able to work.
When we have 6 or more events scheduled, we assign someone an On-call Shift to help tech-support with some tasks to allow them to be more readily available to resolve troubleshooting issues right away.

Pay Structure
Staff will be paid a flat rate per On-call Shift.
The flat rate will be equal to 4 hours at the current hourly rate of a Host Lvl3.

Event Duration
• An On-call Shift begins one hour prior to the earliest Meet Time of the eventing, and concludes no earlier than one hour after the last Start Time of the evening.
In the event that a Host calls in/out of a shift or is otherwise unable to show up, the On-call Host is required to cover the shift in their place. In this scenario, the On-Call Shift will become an Event Shift and will conclude following that event.

Expectations
• On-call Hosts must meet the qualifications of Host Lvl3 whenever possible.
• Be available in dress blacks to allow you to work, or be onsite at any of the evenings events.
• Have an open schedule allowing you to work to conclusion any of the Event Shifts scheduled during the evening.
Aid in loading vehicles as Hosts arrive, and unloading vehicles if applicable.
• Be prepared to deliver items to Hosts on-site in the event something may have been forgotten.
• Be available to perform in-office tasks as assigned by the Events Director. This may entail taking out trash, folding thank you boxes, refilling crafter’s tape, sanitizing props, among other miscellaneous tasks.
