Ending an Event

Your schedule and work order will reflect an “End Time”, this is the end of the requested service time, however, this is NOT when we, as Smash Booth ends. Part of the reason that we pay out 8 hours, even if it’s a shorter work schedule, is to adjust and compensate for time spent with guests after your End Time. Often times when they see you closing, guests will run over for a final few photos.

  • Closing The Booth
    • Do NOT kill an event at the End Time (unless the venue has a hard strike).
    • You are REQUIRED to remain open for 15 to 20 minutes to allow guests to finish up with the booth.
    • Be CERTAIN the guest of honor has taken photos.
    • At your End Time, you can begin to collect props and to clean up the area.
    • Tell guests something like “I’m going to start preparing to close down, but feel free to use the booth while I’m cleaning up. Just let me know if you need a hand with anything”.
    • If your event has a long line, you can begin telling anyone new who approaches that the current line will be the final photos.
  • Leaving the Venue
    • Be sure to double check your space to ensure cleanliness and that nothing was left unpacked.
    • Walk the guest tables or space to look for any wandering props.
    • Be sure to say goodby to the client, thanking them again, as well as the planner and venue host if applicable.
