    Who We Are

    Our Story

    Smash Booth began in 2012, born from a simple idea, combine a passion for photography, an eye for design, a love of technology, and a deep connection to the event industry into something unforgettable. Our founder had built businesses from a young age, but this was different. This was a perfect fit.

    From the start, we’ve only moved in one direction: forward. What began as a single booth quickly grew into a collection of innovative photo and video experiences, each designed to push what’s possible and elevate how guests engage. Along the way, we’ve worked with iconic brands like Amazon, Google, and DraftKings, captured moments at the Super Bowl and F1, and celebrated with a number of celebrities. Our work has earned national and international awards, and even a place in the Photo Booth Hall of Fame.

    Today, Smash Booth Interactive Photo Studios is expanding into cities across the U.S., building on our award-winning approach and bringing our elevated, guest-focused experiences to events nationwide.     We get asked a lot about who we are, what we do, and what makes us tick. So we put together a few answers to the questions that come up most often. If you’re curious about what happens behind the scenes, you’re in the right place.

    Smash Booth is independently owned and the brainchild of Jason Whaley. Headquartered in Las Vegas and thriving through the city’s one-of-a-kind event industry, Smash Booth serves events across the country with a focus on the locations listed here on the site. Every activation is custom and handled in-house or through trusted partners.

    We’ve got decades of combined experience across events, production, marketing, and logistics. Some of us have worked Super Bowls and celebrity weddings. Others have built booths from scratch. Our team has marketing degrees, graphic design degrees, and arguably more awards than any other photo booth company. Together, we bring both polish and grit.

    That depends on your event, but typically you’ll have a full team dedicated to making sure everything goes off without a hitch.

    Behind the scenes, our admin team each has their own focus—design, logistics, communication—but we work as one unit. We regularly jump in to help with each other’s emails, calls, and curveballs to keep every event running smooth and on schedule.

    On-site, you’ll be paired with one of our award-winning, high-energy event hosts. And behind every great host? A full support crew making sure nothing skips a beat.

    Yes, and they’re the brains behind everything from branded wraps to interactive installations. Whether it’s turning a client’s idea into reality or inventing something totally new, they thrive on “how do we pull this off?” moments.

    We look for personality first. People who are engaging, reliable, and not afraid to take initiative. Once hired, they go through in-depth training to make sure they’re not just tech-savvy, but genuinely excellent with people.

    Smash Booth has been creating interactive photo experiences and capturing guest’s special moments since 2013. We’ve grown a lot since those early days, but our core values haven’t changed: create standout experiences, treat people well, and always deliver more than expected.

    Our famous red bowler has officially retired.

    What started as a quirky signature prop quickly became a recognized symbol of style, quality, and innovation in the Las Vegas event scene. As Smash Booth grew into a national brand, the bowler became harder to keep consistent, and truthfully, many elevated events already leaned toward a more timeless, polished look.

    Today, Smash Booth continues to push boundaries, deliver unforgettable experiences, and leave lasting impressions. Only now, it’s the rest of the team’s time to shine.
